Blogger Leong Sze Hian Made To Pay Another $129K For PM Lee’s Legal Costs

PM Lee is seeking another S$129,327 in legal costs and disbursements from blogger Leong Sze Hian after winning the libel suit.
To recap, Leong was sued for sharing on his Facebook an article falsely linking PM Lee to the 1MDB corruption scandal in Malaysia. Following the defamation suit, the high court ordered Leong to pay PM Lee $133K. The full sum was previously raised after 11 days of crowd funding in what Leong calls a “Miracle on Easter Sunday”.

leong must be fair to his supporters. he should not again pass the hat around and expect them to pick up the tab. he should now pay this amount himself..its the principal of equal misery.

He is not underprivileged people. Such amount would be much much more useful and meaningful to actual underprivileged people who did not commit illegal act. Be a responsible man and pay from his own pocket for his mistake.

You are right,these paid oppies keyboard warriors had exist since the 10 years smearing the gotv works. When they are sued then claim victim of being politically bullied. Money should given to help the poor & needy especially now during Covid where many had their jobs and income affected. The oppies has so much money to paid for their keyboard warriors to do their brainwashing,twisting of facts and discouraging people not to take vaccinations,they can easily raise the money for their keyboard warriors to paid for defamation court case.

Nonsense la. Last minute came up with that extra amount. Singapore law are design to protect the govt la. We not happy we fight them , we sure die. They are like mafia. You want to fight them, you gotta think like them. Smart and very manipulative is the keyword here...😒

Do you really understand the legal procedure? Calculation and finalising legal cost usually come after the Court judgement, and it takes much more time.
