Bodies of mum and daughter found in sea

KLANG: The bodies of a 41-year-old local woman and her three-year-daughter were recovered in the waters off Pulau Ketam.
South Klang deputy OCPD Supt Kamalariffin Aman Shah said a local man spotted a child floating motionless in the sea at about 7.30am yesterday.
“With the help of several members of the public, the man managed to retrieve the child and bring her ashore.
“Medical personnel who arrived later confirmed that the child had died,” he said.
Shortly after, the body of the 41-year-old woman was found floating nearby, Kamalariffin said.
“She, too, was brought ashore but was pronounced dead,
“A bag discovered near the jetty contained documents identifying the victims.”
The Selangor police forensic unit conducted preliminary examinations on both bodies and found no signs of injury, he added.
“Both bodies have been sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for post-mortem,” he said, adding that at this stage, police have not found any criminal elements in their ongoing probe.
“We urge those with information on the incident to contact South Klang police at 03-3376 2222,” Kamalariffin said.
