There is a large emergency service presence at Aberavon, Port Talbot, after a body was found on the beachfront by a member of the public on Wednesday morning

An "unexplained" body has been found on a popular tourist beach in Port Talbot by a member of the public - prompting a large police presence at the scene.

South Wales Police have confirmed the body was discovered on Aberavon Beach at around 9.25am on August 28. According to eyewitnesses, officers are still at the scene including the Welsh Ambulance Service.
