Brickfields shooting: Post-mortem due today, say police

KUALA LUMPUR: The post-mortem on the victim killed in the Brickfields shooting is scheduled for this evening.
Brickfields district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the other two injured victims are still receiving treatment, with one in critical condition.
"The critically injured victim is still being treated at the hospital and is in stable condition.
"The other victim sustained only minor injuries and received outpatient treatment," he said today.

The incident occurred at around 10.50pm last night at a restaurant along Jalan Tun Sambanthan, when three local men who were dining were shot at by two suspects on a motorcycle.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were injured.
Ku Mashariman said a thorough investigation is underway, including reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and identifying the suspects.
The three local men, aged between 30 and 50, were dining with several friends at the restaurant when the shooting occurred.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Codefor murder.
The public is urged not to speculate or spread unverified information that could disrupt the investigation.
The motive behind the incident remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made so far.
