At least he highlighted one of our hidden treasures in modern day Singapore. The govt should try to buy back the Palace from Johor Sultan, since its not in use and abandoned. The G should allocate funds to restore the Palace to its original splendour. This will give a boost to our Botanical Garden as one of the world heritage site. When restored, the Palace can be opened to the public and tourist for a fee. This would bring in tourist revenue for the badly hit tourism industry. I strongly believe this is highly viable, as long as the Johor Sultan is willing to return the Palace to us for a reasonable fee. Or issue him a share in the future earnings collections from visitors.
