British cyclist suddenly dies during race after falling off bike in horror incident
A British cyclisthas died during a race in Majorca. The 40-year-old was one of the participants in the Mallorca 312 event, a famous amateur road race which runs around the island and finishes in Playa de Muro.
The tragedy occurred this morning. The victim is said to have fallen off his bike and gone into cardiac arrest, on the road between Esporles and Valldemossa. Medical responders tried to revive him and he was taken by ambulance to the island capital Palma. He died before arriving at the Rotger Clinic where he was being transferred to.
