BERA: "My sister was not a 'minah rempit', but she had been passionate about motorcycling since her teenage years," said Emey Lee, 45, the brother of Roslinawati Ramli, who died after the motorcycle she was riding skidded on her way to the RXZ Members 7.0 gathering last Friday.

Emey said his late sister, better known as Eyna Lee, owned a Yamaha RXZ since the age of 21 and had often taken part in motorcycle-related programmes.

"She never missed the programme as it had been her hobby since she was young.

"This time, however, she was riding her husband's RXZ," he said when contacted.

Roslinawati, 33, died when the Yamaha RXZ she was riding skidded at KM394 of the East Coast Expressway 2 (LPT2) heading towards Kuala Terengganu last Friday.

She was among four people confirmed dead in separate incidents while making their way to the RXZ Members 7.0 event.

Emey also dismissed claims that his sister had left her husband to attend the gathering.

"She went there with her husband, Mohd Nor Mustapa, 34, their two children, aged four and six, as well as her parents-in-law and other family members," he said.

Despite being heartbroken over the loss of his sister, who was the sixth of seven siblings, Emey said the family has accepted the tragedy.

"She was a cheerful, friendly and generous person who always helped others," he said.

Roslinawati's remains were laid to rest at the Felda Tementi Muslim Cemetery at about 2.45am yesterday, accompanied by relatives, friends and local residents.
