And then in the legal thriller's finale, when Adam was accidentally shot to death, viewers were left in shock — and to wonder: Now what? "We had a man fighting for the most important thing in his life," new showrunner Joey Hartstone tells EW. "And now, in season 2, he's in a very different place. Even motivating him to do anything becomes a challenge, because there's nothing he cares about that's left in the world."
