JOHOR BARU: Police are investigating an attempt to blast open an automatic teller machine (ATM) using an explosive device.

The incident took place at a bank in Jalan Dedap 21, Taman Johor Jaya, here, early this morning.

Seri Alam District Police Chief, Superintendent Ismail Dollah said police received a call at 7.17am about an attempted ATM break-in at the bank.
