ByteGami gets Antler's backing for its plug-and-play gamification platform

ByteGami, an in-app gamification module platform, has raised US$110,000 in a pre-seed investment from global early-stage VC investor Antler.

The Malaysia-based startup will use the capital to develop its product and foster a developer community around gamification and the ByteGami platform.

Building gamified features into an app can be costly, time-consuming, expertise-demanding, and risky. While common features like streaks, leaderboards, badges/achievements, and points/redemptions might seem straightforward initially, developers know the challenges.

Poorly engineered gamification features can result in technical requirements growing exponentially with user growth, leading to significant technical debt.

ByteGami aims to address these challenges by providing a platform that eliminates the need for hefty upfront resources to develop gamified features from scratch. Additionally, the platform saves developers from the pitfalls and challenges of scaling these features.

The startup’s primary customers are app developers. The platform offers developer-friendly software development kits (SDKs) and documentation, user behaviour analysis and insights, and A/B testing for gamification strategies. This ensures that developers can seamlessly integrate and optimize gamified features in their apps.
