A set of islands beloved by Brits are under threat from tourists, who have been buying up property as second homes on the islands, causing prices to skyrocket to the highest levels in Spain.
The Canary Islands have the highest rising house prices in Spain, going up by 22.5 percent in 2023, according to Fotocasa, with most of the properties being bought by people from abroad.
