Carabao Cup fourth round draw in full as Arsenal and Liverpool discover opponents
Liverpool will take on Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup as Arne Slot attempts to go one step further than last year. Defending champions Newcastle will face Tottenham in an all-Premier League tie after the Magpies saw off Bradford City.
Arsenal are expected to be among their main challengers with the Gunners drawn to take on Brighton - who have scored 12 goals in their two ties so far - as Mikel Arteta seeks to end a trophy drought that will extend to six years by the time silverware is handed out this season.
Arsenal eventually saw off Port Vale 24 hours later with Eberechi Eze scoring his first goal since his summer move. Grimsby Town remain the competition's lowest ranked side with the League Two side keeping their Carabao Cup fairytale going. Having seen off Manchester United they downed Sheffield Wednesday last week and they will have another game at Blundell Park - this time against Brentford.
Liverpool face the Eagles this weekend and will end up facing them at least four times this season having been drawn against them. The FA Cup holders showed they can continue to mix it with the best teams, especially in one-off games. The Eagles beat the Reds in the Community Shield only weeks ago.
Three teams from Wales have made the fourth round and that has resulted in an all-Welsh tie with Wrexham hosting Cardiff City in what is a Hollywood draw for the new Championship outfit.
Manchester City have won this competition numerous times, particularly under Pep Guardiola, and they will head to Wales to face Swansea City, who won the tournament back in 2013.
Tottenham have endured a poor record at St James' Park and will need to address that if they want to keep up their hopes of repeating their win from 2008. The north Londoners recently ended their trophy drought and will hope to keep building up Thomas Frank.
Liverpool and Alexander Isak are expected to win numerous trophies this season (

Chelsea came from behind to beat Lincoln City on Tuesday and they will face Wolves, who remain rooted to the bottom of the top flight, at Molineux.
Fulham are another side flying the flag for west London and they will make a relatively short trip to Wycombe, who are one of the lowest ranked sides still in the competition.
