Is Korean heartthrob Cha Eun Woo trying to cushion the blow for his fans as he readies to start his mandatory military service?

It sure looks like it.

In an Instagram post on Monday (Jul 21), the 28-year-old posted pictures of his new and shorter hairstyle with the caption “These days”.

Eun Woo also posted pictures of himself wearing a crown while holding a cake against a “We Will Miss U” backdrop.

The Astro member will be enlisting this coming Monday (Jul 28) and still looks every bit as handsome even with the cropped hair?

Also, we wonder if he will need to cut it shorter once he goes in.

Maybe not.

It seems Eun Woo might escape getting the classic buzz cut as his agency Fantiago said in May that he will be joining the army’s military band after completing his basic military training.

Netizens flooded the comments, sending in well wishes, with a few writing how much they will miss him while he is serving his country.

We think fans won’t need to worry about missing Eun-Woo too much with at least two upcoming projects.

The actor-singer is slated to appear in next year’s Netflix superhero comedy series, The Wonderfools where he plays a socially awkward civil servant.

Eun-woo will also be in First Ride, a comedy film in which he plays one of four childhood friends who go on an overseas trip together.
