Chainsaw-wielding thieves flee Louvre with jewellery

PARIS – Chainsaw-wielding thieves broke into the Louvre in Paris on Oct 19 and made away with jewellery, several sources said, leading the world’s most visited museum to close for the day.
The thieves arrived between 9.30am (3.30pm Singapore time) and 9.40am and stole jewellery, a source following the case said, adding its value was still being estimated.
