LONDON, April 4 — Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino came to the defence of Conor Gallagher yesterday after the Blues midfielder was abused on social media after a video showed him apparently failing to high-five a mascot.

Chelsea said in a statement the “defamatory comments” made towards Gallagher were “completely unacceptable” and that the video had been taken out of context.
