Cheras registers unhealthy air quality readings

KUALA LUMPUR: Cheras reported poor air quality after the area registered an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) of 124 this morning.
According to the hourly air quality readings published by the Department of Environment's Air Pollution Index Management System (APIMS), Cheras is the only area that registered unhealthy API readings as of 8am.
An area is categorised as having unhealthy air quality after registering an API reading of between 101 and 200.
The APIMS also showed 62 stations around the country reported moderate API readings, with five stations reporting good API readings.
