China’s Anta Sports muscles in with $2.3 billion move for 29.1% Puma stake

Bengaluru - China’s Anta Sports Products said on Jan 27 it had agreed to buy a 29.1 per cent stake in German sportswear maker Puma from the Pinault family’s Artémis holding company for 1.51 billion euros (S$2.3 billion).
The move cements a deal first reported by Reuters earlier in January and makes the Chinese group Puma’s largest shareholder.
