PETALING JAYA: Training stint in China has made the difference for national hammer thrower Grace Wong to rewrite her own national record at the Malaysian Open in Perlis yesterday.

The 25-year-old threw a distance of 63.53m during her second attempt at the Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar en route to claiming gold ahead of Algeria’s Zahar Tatar (61.37m) and South Korea’s Park Seo-jin (59.13m).
