Those who caught Lady Gaga's Singapore concerts at the National Stadium last month would have experienced first-hand just how amazing of a performer the 39-year-old pop star is.

What if we told you there is a 'fake Lady Gaga' in China who puts on an equally impressive show?

Of late, a nightclub singer from Chongqing, China, has gone viral on social media for her Lady Gaga tribute. Decked out in an all-red ensemble, inspired by one of the American diva's The Mayhem Ball stage outfits, the nightclub singer performed a pitch-perfect rendition of 'Abracadabra'.

She dazzled the audience with her voice, dance moves, and stage presence - even when mishaps occured onstage. When she slipped and fell during her dance routine, she quickly picked herself up and continued with the performance like a pro, earning praise from many. 

It turns out that the Lady Gaga impersonator is actually Chinese singer Pan Hongyue.

Hongyue, 35, was first introduced to the public in 2009, when she took part in Chinese singing competition programme Super Girl. She finished eighth on the show, but stepped out of the spotlight to focus on her studies at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. 

She did leave an impression though. Hongyue's love for singing English songs combined with her ability to hit high notes gave her nickname of "young Jane Zhang". 

Hongyue, who remained out of the public eye, got married in 2014, and later welcomed a daughter. 

However, with the recent attention she has received, fans have been asking Hongyue to make a comeback.

She's recently been active on Xiaohongshu, where she has posted more Lady Gaga covers, and has already amassed 17,000 fans on her page. Lady Gaga herself had also noticed Hongyue, and the Mother Monster reposted two of her tribute videos on TikTok. 

Who knows, maybe this successful fan will be making her comeback soon.
