Chris Lee Got A Surprise After Checking His Taiwanese Co-Star's IG
When you're a four-time Golden Bell Best Actor like Christopher Lee, you probably don't have to worry about whether people know who you are.
But how well does the 55-year-old local actor know the people he works with?
At the recent press conference for new Netflix series The Fixers, Taiwanese rapper Shou opened up about feeling “a lot of pressure” when he first acted opposite the acclaimed actor.
Especially since it was their first time working together, the 33-year-old felt that the two of them did not have much chemistry at first.
“I couldn’t catch his cues at all. I think I was just too nervous. The more we filmed, the more nervous I became,” said Shou.
The Taiwanese boyband W0LF(S) member would also repeatedly ask Chris: “Is there anything else I can do?” whenever the director yelled “Cut!”.
Surprisingly, Chris was nothing but reassuring.
“Just be yourself. Just perform according to your own state,” he said, which immediately helped calm Shou down.
Chris, meanwhile, laughed that whether on or off screen, the two of them were constantly “just getting to know each other". But as the filming process was extremely intense, Chris only managed to get to know Shou better after they had wrapped.
“I realised the two of us are actually both equally mischievous,” he said.
Chris even admitted that he initially had no idea who Shou was.
“I felt so embarrassed. I looked at his Instagram and was shocked. How does he have so many followers?” he admitted.
In case you don't know, Shou has 857K followers on Instagram, nearly four times Chris' 175K.
Shou, however, remained humble.
“What’s there to be embarrassed about? It’s perfectly normal [to not know who I am],” he assured. “Too many people don’t know who I am, that’s the norm.”
