KUALA LUMPUR: Continental will discontinue tyre manufacturing operations at its Alor Setar plant in Malaysia by the end of 2025, where it currently produces passenger car, light truck, and motorcycle tyres for the Asia Pacific market.

In a statement, Continental said the Alor Setar facility employed a total of 950 people. The company’s priority was to support these employees by offering assistance such as career counseling and exploring potential job opportunities both within and outside of Continental.
