GEORGE TOWN: Police have confirmed that a man was injured after he fell from the seventh floor of a shopping mall on Persiaran Gurney here and landed on the ground floor.

Northeast district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad said officers were notified of the incident at around 1.55pm this afternoon.

He said the victim was a 25-year-old foreign national.

"Initial investigation at the scene revealed the man is believed to have sustained head injuries due to the fall, and was sent to the Penang Hospital in a conscious state," he said this afternoon.
