Coronation Street stars Rachel Leskovac and Kym Marsh will join the cast of Waterloo Road.

Rachel, who played Natasha Blakeman in the ITV soap, has been cast as the new Head of English, Coral Walker.

Michelle Connor actress Kym will play the role of Nicky Walters, a school canteen worker and mum of two pupils.

Rachel played the role of Natasha Blakeman from 2008-2010. Natasha returned to Weatherfield in 2020, but was killed off last year during Super Soap Week.

Natasha was shot dead by drug lord Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).

For Kym, since leaving her role as Michelle back in 2019, she’s gone on to appear in BBC One’s The Syndicate and often co-presents Morning Live alongside Gethin Jones and Rav Wilding.

Further casting announcements reveal Jo Coffey (EastEnders) joining the school as a PA, Vincent Jerome (Sins of Solitude) playing Lindon King, joint Deputy Head with James Baxter (Alma’s Not Normal) cast as Joe Casey – also Deputy Head.
