Creepy Nuts are back with a double shot of anime-fuelled fire. Japan’s genre-defying hip-hop duo just dropped two brand-new singles — ‘Mirage’ and ‘Nemure’ — as the opening and closing themes for Season 2 of Call of the Night, out now on HIDIVE.

The Latin-infused ‘Mirage’ brings sultry Spanish guitars and a pulsing beat that lets R-shitei flex his vocal range with Astrud Gilberto-style softness one moment and Bad Bunny bravado the next. Lyrically, the track channels the anime’s dreamy, vampire-fuelled themes of desire, identity, and the paranormal.

Meanwhile, ‘Nemure’ (‘Sleep’) dives into the chaotic energy of the night — chopping strings, racing club drums, and earworm melodies into a restless ode to living for the after-hours:"Dance until the morning comes / Can’t give up, until that time / Just one more song… just one more…"

Both tracks are featured on Creepy Nuts’ newly released fourth album LEGION, out via Sony Music Japan. The album also includes viral smashes ‘Otonoke’ (from Dan Da Dan) and the juggernaut hit ‘Bling-Bang-Bang-Born’ (from Mashle: Magic and Muscles), which has already crossed 800 million streams globally.

It’s been a wild ride for Creepy Nuts this year. In May, they snagged Best Opening Sequence and Best Anime Song at the 9th Crunchyroll Anime Awards, and later that month, they made history at the 2025 Music Awards Japan with a jaw-dropping nine wins, including Song of the Year.
