MELBOURNE, ⁠Aug 13 (Reuters) - Australia ⁠captain Pat Cummins ‌won the toss and elected to bat first ​in the ⁠series-opening test ⁠against Bangladesh in Darwin ⁠on ‌Thursday.

• Australia are ⁠looking to shore up top ​spot ‌in the World ⁠Test ​Championship.

• Bangladesh are playing their ⁠first test series ​in Australia since 2003.

• Bangladesh to attack ⁠on a grassy Marrara Oval pitch.
