One of the many expeditions in Pokémon Sword and Shields Crown Tundra DLC involves tracking down and catching the legendary Pokémon Calyrex and its steed, either Glastrier or Spectrier. While this expedition is fairly straightforward, it does have a few steps that make it complicated.The mascot Pokémon for the Crown Tundra, Calyrex is a very intelligent legendary Pokémon who rides another Pokémon as a steed. It can therefore fuse with either Glastrier or Spectrier, using a mechanic first introduced for Zekrom in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2.While catching most legendary Pokémon involves exploring the map far and wide to discover hidden secrets, Calyrex will happily approach the player early on in the Crown Tundra DLC the challenge comes from proving yourself worthy of being allowed to catch it.How to get Calyrex in the Crown Tundra DLCTo get Calyrex in the Crown Tundra, youll need to undertake a series of missions in the town of Freezington. First, take the crown statue from the table in the Mayors house and place it on the statue outside. This will draw out Calyrex, who will have a quick, rather easy battle with you.Then, youll need to talk to a variety of NPCs throughout Freezington, before purchasing carrot seeds. These cost 8 Dynite Ore, which can be earned by winning the Dynamax battle from the start of the Crown Tundra DLC you can go back and try it again if you lost the first time.Calyrex will then offer two locations in the Crown Tundra for planting these seeds. Depending on where you plant them, it will affect which steed Pokémon you are allowed to catch.Game FreakHow to get Glastrier or Spectrier in Pokémon Sword and ShieldTo get Glastrier, you need to plant your carrot seeds in the icy patch that has frozen, while to get Spectrier, you need to plat the carrot seeds near the graveyard. These two locations are clearly marked, so they wont be difficult to find.Youll then battle your chosen steed and receive a tuft of Mane Hair. Speak to Calyrex again to receive the Radiant Petal, then take both of these items to the Mayors house in Freezington to craft the Reins of Unity.Next you need to travel all the way to the North of the Crown Tundra to find Calyrexs steed.
