A headless and dismembered dead body inside a black suitcase was discovered on 17 January by passers-by at the North-South Expressway in Malaysia.

The body was then picked up by the Malaysian police for post-mortem examination, and the deceased has been revealed to be a male foreigner.

the Sungai Buloh district police chief superintendent Shafa’aton Abu Bakar said that they have taken a statement from a witness on 18 January at 4.30pm.

The cause of death was multiple injuries from multiple blows from sharp objects, and Supt Abu Bakar said that the victim is believed to be a non-Muslim, although she stopped short of mentioning his nationality.

The police are still trying to determine the identity of the deceased.

The identity and gender of the victim are presently unclear, and the Malaysian police are investigating the case as murder (which carries the death penalty).

The Malaysian police said that they were alerted to the bag. which was spotted by passers-by at about 11.45am.

Berita Harian reported that the suitcase contained more body parts; but the head, arms and legs of the torso are still missing and as such, the authorities are unable to identify the body.

There were also no identification documents on the body.

The deceased also didn’t appear to have had a “BCG” injection (which are vaccinations given to all children at birth in Malaysia), implying the possibility that the deceased might’ve been a foreigner.

The Malaysian police, forensic team and K9 unit are presently conducting further investigations into the murder case.
