PETALING JAYA: Teenager Danial Hakim Zulkaisi showed strong grit to claim Malaysia's first gold medal at the Asian Cycling Championships in Tagaytay, Philippines on Friday (March 27).

The 18-year-old from Sarawak stayed on steady pace at the front from the start until he emerged as the last rider to win the men's junior elimination race at Tagaytay City Velodrome.
