Van der Zande leads tight first practice at Daytona

Renger van der Zande has topped the times for Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac in the opening practice session ahead of this weekend's Daytona 24 Hours.

Van der Zande, who has won the last two Daytona 24 Hours with Wayne Taylor Racing, lapped the 3.56-mile road course in 1m34.649s to shade Mike Conway's best effort for Action Express Racing by just 0.082s.
