The writers of the Deadpool movie will move on to helm a TV adaption of Twisted Metal, according to Variety. Yes, the Twisted Metal vehicle combat series will be Sony Pictures TV and PlayStation Productions’ latest project.

Deadpool and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will adapt the series as a live-action action comedy, Variety says. The series follows a new character who’s hired to deliver a package deep into a “post-apocalyptic wasteland,” so the hero will team up with a car thief to deliver the goods. The duo will run into obstacles on their journey, including Twisted Metal’s clown-faced, ice cream truck-driving mascot, Sweet Tooth.
