Officers of the National Police’s Densus 88 antiterror squad on Monday arrested in North Jakarta and Bekasi three individuals allegedly affiliated with the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), a homegrown militant group that has been linked to Islamic State. National Police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo said that the arrests were made in West Semper subdistrict in Cilincing, North Jakarta, and in Karang Satria village in North Tambun, Bekasi. Dedi confirmed that the individuals were affiliated with “JAD Bekasi and other JAD [branches]", as quoted by kompas.com.
