Disney is working with cinema chains on a new large-format screen label called Infinity Vision that is due to roll out in time for Disney’s Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday in December, people familiar with the plan said.

To qualify, auditoriums need a screen at least 50 feet wide, laser projection, and Dolby 7.1 surround sound, with about 5,500 screens worldwide meeting the standard.
