A passenger on board Scoot flight TR905 was allegedly led off the plane amid a two-hour delay, according to a Xiaohongshu user on Monday (Sept 28).

The incident took place on Sunday (Sept 27), said the user, who declined to be named.

"After boarding was completed, a passenger was removed from the plane," the user stated, adding that the plane was delayed for two hours.

Flight TR905 was scheduled to depart Macau for Singapore at about 6.45pm, but eventually departed only at around 8.45pm.

The plane touched down in Singapore at around 12.30am.

In the video uploaded with the post, a woman can be seen raising her hands with 'peace' signs as she is escorted down the aisle by at least four security personnel.

An air stewardess is also seen taking a handbag from a seat - presumably belonging to the woman - and following the group out.

As the woman is led off the aircraft, applause can be heard, with a man enthusiastically clapping his hands.

In comments, many users expressed curiosity towards the incident, wondering what had happened on board.

A netizen speculated that the man was clapping as the passenger left because there was "disruptive behaviour" on board the flight.

Responding to AsiaOne's queries, Scoot confirmed that a passenger was removed from flight TR905 before departure from Macau due to disruptive behaviour on Sept 27.

The passenger was subsequently handed over to local authorities at Macau International Airport while other passengers remained on board and were provided with refreshments, the airline said.

Apologising for the disruption and inconvenience caused, Scoot said the safety and well-being of its customers and crew remain its top priority.

Scoot added: "We will take appropriate measures against any passenger who poses a risk to them."
