Don: East Malaysia gains strong representation in DAP’s leadership

KUCHING (March 17): Sarawak and Sabah are well represented in the national Democratic Action Party (DAP) following its recent party congress held in Shah Alam, said political scientist Prof James Chin.
“Sarawak DAP chairman Chong Chieng Jen came in second (in terms of the most votes garnered) and is now the national vice chairman.
“Four out of the top 30 are Sarawakians and Sabahans, this means that Sarawak and Sabah are quite well represented. More importantly, most elected DAP leaders are the younger generation.
