Driver, 17, flees from TP in deregistered car, runs red lights, goes against traffic, and hits 6 stationary vehicles

A 17-year-old male will be charged in court on Thursday (28 May) for his involvement in multiple traffic offences.
This includes dangerous driving causing hurt, underage driving, and driving a deregistered car.
He was involved in three cases, with the latest occurring on 16 Jan in Paya Lebar, where the driver sped off after seeing Traffic Police (TP) conducting patrols.
For the first incident, the driver attempted to flee from TP officers, reaching 174 km/h on the East Coast Parkway, where the speed limit is 90 km/h.
He also ran multiple red traffic lights and drove against the flow of traffic along several roads, including Ubi Avenue 2 and Lorong 28 Geylang.
The driver eventually collided with five stationary vehicles along Paya Lebar Road and Guillemard Road, where the car stopped after colliding with a sixth stationary car at Marine Parade Road.
Subsequently, the teenager continued his flee by foot, but was arrested by TP officers.
