Duolingo has introduced a chess course in beta, expanding its educational offerings beyond languages.

This course includes puzzles and challenges to teach players aspects of the game, such as the knight’s movement and checkmate techniques.

Users can play mini-matches or full games against Oscar, a Duolingo character who serves as a virtual coach.
