Dylan Wang Ate At This Restaurant, And The Chopsticks & Bowls He Used Are Now Displayed For All To See
It's not a new thing for restaurant owners to put up photos of celebs diners as a form of free publicity.
But this noodle house in Xi An, China has thought outside the box.
In a recent viral post on Weibo, a netizen shared that the bowls and chopsticks used by Chinese heartthrob Dylan Wang when he ate there are now exhibited in a display box.
Restaurant staff even placed a photo of the 26-year-old savouring the noodles with a message that read: "Tableware used by Dylan Wang".
Netizens have divided views about this marketing stunt.
Some praised the owner for the "innovative idea" and for using the star for clout.
"This set of tableware can instantly be turned into an photo taking spot," raved one netizen, while another said: "If I were them I would do this too. A person who doesn't seize such an opportunity to ride on [Dylan's] hype must be stupid."
A supporter also complimented the restaurant owner for having the foresight to keep the bowl used by Dylan since his new drama Live Long and Prosperis trending.
The opposing camp, however, berated the owner for going overboard, arguing that such an act would make Dylan Wang feel uncomfortable.
"Why don't you frame the tissue he used to wipe his mouth too?" snarked one such fan.
We think they would if they actually had their hands on it.
