EMPLOYER AGREES TO LET STAFF RESIGN WITHOUT SERVING NOTICE, THEN CHANGES MIND
Singapore Uncensored·2024-04-13 19:05
I’m feeling so burned out from work.
I had came to a consensus with my manager previously for me to leave without having to serve my notice period but when I officially tendered my resignation, she changed her words and require me to serve my notice.
Unfortunately there’s no black and white when she said that as it’s a verbal agreement.
I’m dreading to even go to work and have panic attacks whenever i thought about going to work and feeling so depressed. I’m facing personal issues as well and shared with my manager but she’s nonchalant about it.
I’m required to pay my notice period but I do not have the money as when I tendered my resignation it was on the mind with the notice period being waived.
I dont know what to do now. I’m feeling so burned out and depressed and just feel like disappearing.
Some people may actually take some MC nearer their last day. Or ask if you can clear your annual leave during the notice period.
Just turn up, do bare minimum and go home. You are not to take on any new work and just handover. This is expected of any notice period.

When you are young still a long way to go n should not rock the boat. Only when you are reaching your retirement age n need not work for people anymore then you can try to take revenge. Must torelate n patience inorder to survive in this cruel n unfair world. Build up your savings then your voice is louder then your boss, remember this.

never leave your job with a sour relationship. During reference, check this kind of department head to destroy your future potential job securing. Always get your service testimonial report for all appraisal records b4 u leave the job. Just let your HR know u need it for job seeking and speed up the employment process. The potential employer may take more than 2 weeks for such a reference check, which delayed u from getting a job earlier.

It will be a good idea to speak with your HR as they make the final decision. The reasons u have may be valid to them. Many HR always allow department manager to make decision and not sure why they are trained to be HR. Maybe approach tripartite this organisation helps to bridge a communication with your HR to make an exception decision.

Take the rest of serving notice carefree, arrived in flip fop, T-shirt and short. Off on the dot and dragged your feet with the assignments. Lol...there is neither black and white what you must wear and when to complete the tasks.
