Eddie Cibrian probably thought he put this 2006 love affairbehind him, but an upcoming celebrity memoir is recirculating the story. 

Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay‘s book, My Good Side, arrives on July 22, and she’s ready to spill the tea on her affair that essentially launched the iconic Bravo TV reality show. In an excerpt of the memoir, obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the 40-year-old TV personality reveals how a post-college job at a Beverly Hills private cigar lounge led to her and Cibrian’s fling. 

“I first laid eyes on Eddie Cibrian a few months later, when he stepped off the elevator at the cigar lounge, where he played poker on Tuesday nights,” she wrote. “If you were to ask me when I was growing up what my exact type was, to a tee it was Eddie—tall, dark, and handsome, with dimples. The second we made eye contact, he smiled at me with those dimples, and I melted.”

Shay revealed that their “relationship wasn’t romantic from the jump,” but the sparks were hard to ignore — and his absent wedding ring didn’t clue her in about his marriage to Brandi Glanville.

She then dropped the bombshell: “…We did start a physical relationship at the end of 2006, which was a weekly booty call. After his Tuesday night poker games, and when my shift ended, we would go out together with our friends to get drinks, and then he would come back to my house, where we would hook up. Eddie would then go home, and I’d go back to my life for the rest of the week.”

The affair was “fully out in public” for everyone to see while Glanville was home with their eldest son, Mason. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star gave birth to a second son, Jake, in 2007 while Shay bounced between flings with Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe and Cibrian. A co-worker finally tipped Shay off that he had a wife and family at home, and she alleged that Cibrian “gaslighted” her when she confronted him. 

Of course, reality show fans know the origin of this story, but never completely from Shay’s perspective. Granville told her story during her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and Cibrian’s cheating ways continued into a relationship, and now, marriage with LeAnn Rimes. 

Glanville still has residual feelings about the events, feuding with Rimes and Shay publicly over the years. In April 2023, she posted a tweet aimed at Shay around the fallout of Vanderpump Rules co-star Tom Sandoval’s affair with castmate Rachel Leviss. 

“A cheater is a cheater no matter how it goes down @scheana you knew Eddie was married so it’s all the same,” she wrote on X. “I wasn’t specifically talking about you. I said everyone on that show has cheated. But if you want a war when we have been cool, it’s sad.”

It sounds like time hasn’t healed old wounds.
