Elderly man dies after being hit by lorry while exiting mosque compound

KAMPAR: An elderly man was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a lorry at Km26.5, Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur, while he was on his way home from Friday prayers at the mosque today.
The incident, which occurred around 2pm, claimed the life of Mazlan Ahmad, 68, who was riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining severe injuries while exiting the compound of Masjid Jamek Kampung Jeram.

It is good to watch out for children and people on motorcycles or even bicycles that suddenly "dash" out onto the main road when travelling in kampong or rural areas. Never speed in such areas. [TIRED][COOL]

It is certainly heartbreaking to have a 68-year-old motorcyclist life be brutally cut short in this horrific manner Hopefully, further investigation into the matter will afford the deceased families some closure for the unspeakable horrific tragedy
