Elizabeth Hurley isn’t slowing down when it comes to her unexpected relationship with Billy Ray Cyrus. 

The surprising couple turned up at the “Orizzonti | Rosso” exhibition opening on May 24 in Rome, Italy. Hurley was flipping the script on her country music boyfriend by introducing him to her glamorous European world. When they announced their dating situation in April, it was Hurley who dressed comfortably for a day at Cyrus’ farm. The duo is proving that chic and casual do go hand in hand.

In Rome, the 59-year-old actress and the 63-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer seemed thrilled to be in each other’s company. She wore her signature hot-pink colorin a form-fitting gown designed by Safiyaa. The plunging neckline showed off her gorgeous curves while she accessorized her look with a smoky eye and soft waves framing her face. 

Cyrus stuck to an all-black ensemble complete with Western boots, a cowboy hat, and dark shades to add to the mystery. The country boy and the city gal make quite the striking couple, but it’s Hurley who insists that they are “actually quite similar.” She told Page Six in early May, “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country. And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”

Hurley is usually jet-setting to tropical locations to promote her Elizabeth Hurley Beach swimwear line, but she told SheKnows in 2022 what she loves to do in her free time — and it aligns with Cyrus’ country lifestyle. “I like being at home with my dogs and my family, doing the gardening, cooking, and reading my book,” she said. “And I don’t care if you think I’m boring because, guess what? I like it.” 

She is quite the homebody and that seems to suit Cyrus just fine after they reconnected late last year. They starred in the 2022 holiday movie, Christmas in Paradise, but it took a few years and a divorce for them to figure out there might be a spark. 

Hurley reached out to check in on him after the Cyrus family feud and his split from his third wife, Firerose. “Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh,” he said on The Ty Bentli Show. He’s quite glad that Hurley made the first move because it’s made him smile again. 

“Again, no expectations of where we go from here other than her and her son [Damian] — I do love him a lot, and it’s great that God brought them into my life when he did,” he said. “It’s just a good thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
