Mysterious Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) in Emmerdale has so far made quite the impact on the villagers and in tonight’s (December 23) episode, he certainly stepped up his game.

After moving into Moira’s (Natalie J Robb), it seemed as though the pair were excited about spending their first Christmas together for the first time in years, but as we saw in tonight’s episode, Mackenzie is doing an excellent job at pretending to be the distant brother who wants to fix his relationship with his sister.

Once Moira had found Mackenzie outside a barn, she was eager to know what he was doing there, quickly making it known to Mackenzie that wandering around the fields on his own could result in him getting lost.

Covering his own back, Mackenzie said he was looking for the place Moira’s daughter Holly was buried. Thinking her brother wanted to spend time with her, Moira took Mackenzie to the right area, which resulted in an emotional moment as the two of them reminisced about the past, and Moira spoke about Holly.

After the walk, Matty (Ash Palmisciano) found Moira looking through old photos, thinking Mackenzie was genuinely staying in the village to build bridges. However, viewers then saw Mackenzie with Charity (Emma Atkins), who both looked fairly pleased with themselves as Mackenzie counted out a serious amount of cash.
