Emmys 2025: Hannah Einbinder Reveals Hacks Will End With Season 5
Hannah Einbinderwon’t be a hack for much longer.
The Hacks actress—who won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the 2025 Emmy Awards Sept. 14—confirmed that the upcoming season of HBO comedy series will be its last while reflecting on how she feels about its upcoming filming schedule.
“I think it will feel different,” Hannah told Live From E!: 2025 Emmys host Heather McMahan on the red carpet of the award ceremony, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze. “We're going to start next week, and knowing it's the last season is really bittersweet.”
Despite the difficult end, she added, “But I think it's right. It's nice to do something as many times as it should be done [and] not over stay your welcome. Rip it and do it and laugh and cry.”
Even though the show—which also stars Jean Smart—is coming to a close, Hannah is grateful for the laughs, which she also provided during her acceptance speech.
“I was really committed to the personal narrative that it was actually cooler to continue to lose,” the 30-year-old said from the stage. “I was pretty committed to that. But this is cool too. This is also punk rock.”
Beyond the jokes, Hannah acknowledged her gratitude for the show’s creators Paul W. Down, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky.
“I want to thank the creators of Hacks for changing my life in every conceivable way,” she continued, “not just by giving me a great gig, but by being my friends and being my family.”
Hannah also got choked up while thanking Jean, who also won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series—her fourth trophy for the show.
“I want to thank Jean Smart, who is like the sun, and I get to stand in her warmth,” she shared. “I also want to thank the cast and crew of Hacks.”
Read on to see all the stars who took home trophies during the 2025 Emmy Awards.
