Art lovers Chan Kok Weng and Elaine Lim-Chan hosted an intimate reception at acclaimed French graffiti artist Cyril Kongo’s Singapore recent showcase at The Mill. Friends of the couple were introduced to the affable and talented artist, who is well-known for his collaborations with renowned luxury brands, including Hermès, Chanel and Richard Mille. Throughout the afternoon, guests milled around admiring Kongo’s latest works and commissions, some of which he had completed during his one-month residency in Singapore. There was a video highlighting his raison d’être and creative process, as well as a display of his Singapore With Love collection of colourful crystal spray cans in partnership with Daum. As a parting celebration on his impending return to Paris, the Chans popped open a bottle of Rémy Martin Louis XIII cognac that flowed freely, much to the guests’ delight.
