2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Singapore, as the nation celebrates its diamond jubilee. Leading up to the big day, we’ve already seen SG60 deals roll out across attractions and F&B spots, including 60-cent drinks at selected Kopitiam outlets. Now, details for the main event of the year – the National Day Parade (NDP) – have been officially unveiled. 

When will NDP 2025 be held?

This year’s NDP will be held on August 9, 2025 as per usual. 

What is the theme of NDP 2025?

NDP 2025 is themed Majulah Singapura, spotlighting Singapore’s journey over the past 60 years. The logo creatively fuses ‘60’ and ‘Go’ – a nod to both the country’s 60th birthday and its forward-looking spirit.

Where will NDP 2025 be held? 

For the first time, the live parade will take place not just at Padang but will extend to Marina Bay, giving more people the chance to experience the festivities. Shows at both venues will be synchronised – for example, the Red Lions’ parachute descent at Padang and the naval divers’ splash into Marina Bay will take place concurrently.

What can I expect from NDP 2025? 

Marina Bay will host a brand-new floating stage for performances, along with large screens streaming the live show from Padang. There will also be interactive booths, activities and carnival vibes all around. 

Meanwhile, Padang celebrations will feature well-loved highlights including the state flag flypast and presidential gun salute. This year also sees the return of the mobile column showcasing Singapore’s military assets across air, land and sea. 

What is the theme song for NDP 2025?

This year’s theme song is titled Here We Are, written by Charlie Lim and Chok Kerong, produced by Dr Sydney Tan and performed by Kit Chan, Charlie Lim and local band The Island Voices. You can watch the full video here. 

Where can I collect a free national flag?

Every Singaporean and PR can collect one free national flag per household from mid-June at over 3,000 Shopee collection points islandwide.
