Back in the noughties, former Japanese actress Sola Aoi was one of the most popular women in the adult entertainment industry, having starred in hundreds of AV films.

Following her retirement in 2017, she married Japanese artiste DJ Non in 2018 and has been focused on raising their twin boys, now six.

Despite being out of the limelight for so many years, Sola, 44, previously revealed that she still frequently faces online harassment for her past career.

Her sons have also been mocked at school with remarks like: “Your mum was an AV actress, how pitiful,” and “Children of someone like her can never be happy,” which deeply hurt her.

She admitted that whenever she hears such comments, she thinks: “Who gets to decide that you're pitiful?”

She has since come to terms with it. As long as her sons can feel her love and efforts, that’s what truly matters.

Sola recently surprised fans by announcing that she would be attending the grand opening of nightclub Big Boss Generation, previously known as Club BBoss, in Hong Kong in June.

This marks Sola’s first public appearance in 15 years.

She will also host a fan meet titled Sora Sensei Is Ours, where she is expected to interact closely with fans.
