Shuo Yang, a former robotics engineer at Tesla, has co-founded a startup called Mondo Tech.

The start-up was established in Shenzhen in January with a registered capital of 1 million yuan (approximately US$136,500), according to corporate data from Qichacha.

The company is based in Palo Alto, California, and Shenzhen, China, and aims to develop smaller robots for consumers.

He said that Mondo Tech will focus on creating “mini robots” designed as companions for daily use. This idea was inspired by his desire to build a robot for his son.
