JOHOR BARU: The ex-husband of an entrepreneur and influencer was arrested to assist police investigations into an alleged scam involving fake travel packages to South Korea, which were promoted on TikTok.

Johor police chief Commissioner Datuk M. Kumar said the suspect, who owned the bank account linked to the fake travel package company, was detained on April 21 and remains in custody.

"Preliminary investigations showed payments from victims who had been lured by the enticing travel offers were funnelled through the company account.
