PARIS, Oct 31 — World Athletics said on Thursday that former employees had embezzled more than 1.5 million euros (RM7.3 million) from the organisation in what it described as a case of “systematic theft”.

The global governing body for track and field revealed it had submitted detailed information to the appropriate judicial and legal authorities to support a criminal investigation.
