FBM KLCI moves cautiously higher as risk appetite improves

KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI edged slightly higher in a sideways trading channel despite a strong overnight rally on Wall Street that reinvigorated the risk appetite for equities.
At 9am, the local benchmark index was up 0.76 points to 1,619.54, hugging closely to the 50-day simple moving average.
